Crime and Punishment
Summary
The activity explains two topics:
1. Reported Speech
We learned how to report what other people say using the correct tense changes. For example:
Direct: “I lost my wallet.”
Reported: He said he had lost his wallet.
It helps us tell stories or news more accurately, especially in legal or formal situations.
2. Crime and Punishment Vocabulary
We learned useful words about types of crimes (theft, assault, drug trafficking, arson, etc.) and types of punishment (fine, house arrest, jail, community service, life sentence).
It also includes common questions and phrases used by police officers or lawbreakers.
My opinion
I think this activity is very useful because crime is part of real life, and we often see it in news, movies, or daily situations. We must understand the vocabulary to describe events properly and report what others say using the correct grammar. Also, reported speech helps us communicate clearly and formally, especially in professional or legal contexts.
